Most Romantic Place in Chicago

Nothing to me is more romantic that walking along Lake Shore Drive/ along the lake front in Chicago. It is so peaceful and relaxing. In the summer time is is beautiful to be out on the lake front at night to watch the sunset. To me that is one of the most romantic things you can do with your significant other.

Tix for The Vow - February 8, 2012 Response to Question

Friday, February 3, 2012 @ 11:50 am

Wow!!! trying to answer this question seriously is difficult - if I’m really to pinpoint the most romantic spot to just one place. Unfortunately, I really can’t because I’m a real nature freak who falls in love every time I’m able to take in a beautiful view, even more if I’m near a body of water -which with the lake and the rivers is easy for me here.

Although this is a bit different than the original question, I suppose the most romantic thing about Chicago is all that is offered along the lakefront. There you can gaze out toward the horizon day or night and see the amazingly comforting, slow motion of the heavenly clouds above as you daydream about a better day. Then, in the wee hours of the night,(just before the day begins to creep into being), when the sky is a deep blue/black, you can connect with the part of the universe that may be hurting when it rains down gentle tears no longer suppressed or the angry thunderous flashes of lighting that crackles reflectively like our outbursts of frustration during our most meaningful struggles.

Chicago is so beautiful with bike and walk trails along which you can find swaying boats docked in various spots with Navy Pier all aglow in the background. Then there’s the view of the many downtown skyscrapers’ lights that kiss the rivers’ rippling waters as you take meditative walks along any of the many bridges; sometimes with a full moon the views on East West bridges remind me of a Batman movie. Lastly, there are various areas tucked away with either benches along walkways, sandy beaches, rocks, or mounds of grass like between the Planetarium and the Shedd Acquarium, in front of the Field Museum, near the Lake Point Towers buildings, etc. all which offer various views of the skyline that can be seen in the distance like a welcoming committee beaconing you to reach all your future endeavors. All you have to do is relax, be receptive to walking, and just take it all in. Holding hands helps too, smile.

most romantic spot

I think that the most romantic spot in Chicago is the in the middle of the DuSable Bridge (aka Michigan Ave bridge) when you are looking out west towards the Wabash Ave bridge. That spot is the best either in the day or in the night, because you get a great view of Chicago and all the great architecture the city has to offer. But to be honest whatever direction you look on that bridge it’s just beautiful.

The Vow

The most romantic spot in Chicago has to be beach. I mean when summer comes or spring you can have a date there with a picnic. or swim in the summer and have a blast. is the best!

Chicago's Most Romantic Spot

If you like a romantic spot, visit one of the party rooms in the John Hancok Building at night. There is a circular view of the city an Lakeshore Drive. Absolutely gorgeous!
