Film News: TCM, Comcast Bringing ‘The Birds’ to Chicago

CHICAGO – Turner Classic Movies and Comcast are teaming up to bring a classic film back to the big screen in Chicago. Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller “The Birds” will play at the Music Box Theatre in Chicago on Tuesday, March 27 as part of TCM’s 10-city Road to Hollywood Tour.

The Road to Hollywood Tour is a prequel to Turner’s TCM Classic Film Festival, which will take place from April 12 to April 15 in Hollywood. Bringing a bit of the festival to other parts of the country, TCM host Ben Mankiewicz and “The Birds” actress Tippi Hedren will be the special guests that bring the Hitchcock film to Chicago.

The event will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Music Box Theatre located at 3733N. Southport. The screening is absolutely free, but you must obtain a free ticket online at the TCM website.
