CHICAGO – The premiere of a director’s first feature film is a major evolutionary moment for the cinema artist, and Layne Marie Williams will debut “Dollface” this Friday, June 10th, 2016, at the Canvas event space in Wicker Park in Chicago. The film features Hannah Kopen in one of the lead roles, and the premiere will be part of a gallery/cinema fusion called SINtegrate. For complete details, click here.

We first encountered Williams as part of The Women’s Film Festival in Philadelphia, which she co-founded. At that time, she talked about the progress of her first feature film, calling “Dollface”… “a wild love story, with elements of magical realism, and themes of what we want and hope for in pursuit of love.”

Layne Marie Williams hails from Alabama, studied drama in Philadelphia, and has lived in Chicago for over a year. She moved here to amplify her arts career, and has gathered a number of young cinema practitioners in collaboration for “Dollface.” Hannah Kopen has a lead role in the film, and she was raised in Michigan. She got her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University, in Theatre and Gender Studies, and works as an actor, model and event representative in Chicago. Both women sat down to talk to HollywoodChicago.com in anticipation of the premiere of “Dollface.”
