The fans of chef-turned-food-traveler Anthony Bourdain are many. The author of “Kitchen Confidential” and “A Cook’s Tour,” in addition to the TV host of “Parts Unknown,” had a large and fanatic audience. This film follows his career, from marginal restaurant chef to mega superstar foodie and globe trotter. And as that fame grew, so did his anxiety about purpose, which fueled his suicide in 2018.
