After experiencing the differing factors within the pandemic period in Seasons 10, 11 and 12, APUC will be going back to in-theater screenings along with other options for all audiences. For Season 13, they will offer films from Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, China, South Korea, United States and Canada. The season will highlight women in film, stories with humanitarian themes and action thrillers, including four restored martial arts classics. There will also be special screenings at the Korean Culture Center of Chicago (Wheeling, Ill., a free screening), the Illinois Institute of Technology Tower Auditorium (Chicago) and the Chinese American Museum (Chicago). APUC is curated by the Founder and Executive Director, Sophia Wong Boccio.
