Video Game Review: Truly Awful ‘Rogue Warrior’ Fails on Every Level
Submitted by BrianTT on December 16, 2009 - 12:44pmCHICAGO – We’ve become spoiled by the next generation of gaming. Most high-profile games have gone through enough research and development during their production and are made by such experienced developers that they rarely come out of the industry machine with little to no redeeming value at all. Sure, there are disappointments, but you don’t see as many complete bombs in the gaming world as you do in film, music, or TV. The exception to the rule is the truly awful “Rogue Warrior”.
Blu-Ray Review: Underrated ‘Angel Heart’ With Mickey Rourke, Robert De Niro
Submitted by BrianTT on December 8, 2009 - 1:41pmCHICAGO – Some movies from my youth have not aged as well as memory would have me believe. We’ve all been there. A movie we thought was great when we were a teenager looks downright awful with the passage of time. I was worried that my memory of Alan Parker’s “Angel Heart” was through similar rose-colored glasses. Worry not. “Angel Heart” is even better than you remember.

DVD Review: ‘Killshot’ With Mickey Rourke, Diane Lane Finally Gets Released
Submitted by BrianTT on June 1, 2009 - 8:30amCHICAGO – How does a movie with Oscar-nominated leads, a prominent director, beloved source material, and an excellent supporting cast get delayed for so long that it inevitably gets quietly shuffled off to DVD? Well, if history tells us anything, having a complicated and troubled project in the Weinstein Company archives doesn’t help a movie like “Killshot,” an action thriller that has its flaws but none so big that it deserved such an unusual and lackluster fate.
