CHICAGO – David Dastmalchian is taking the spotlight in his latest role. The in-demand character actor, with vital portrayals in “Suicide Squad,’ “Dune” and “Oppenheimer,” is the lead performer as a 1970s talk show host in the new horror epic “Late Night with the Devil,” co-written/directed by Colin and Cameron Cairnes. In select theaters March 22nd.

The actor, who studied locally at DePaul University, brought his new role on film – “Late Night with the Devil” – to the 59th Chicago International Film Festival. CHICAGO – The film “Dune,” an adaptation of the classic Frank Herbert sci-fi novel, is just coming off its opening weekend. One of the principle roles, Piter De Vries from the House Harkonnen, is portrayed by David Dastmalchian. DD is having a stellar 2021, coming off his triumph as Polka-Dot Man in “The Suicide Squad.” He talked to HollywoodChicago.com via Zoom.

CHICAGO – Back in 2007, actor David Dastmalchian got the call that he has secured a role in “The Dark Knight,” as one of the Joker’s henchmen. He was living in Chicago at the time, and from then on his world broke open. Today, David is a vital part of the Marvel (“Ant-Man”) AND DC universes (“Suicide Squad”), and has created his own comic, “Count Crowley.”
