CHICAGO – The Asian Pop-Up Cinema (APUC) of Chicago wishes everyone a HAPPY CHINESE LUNAR NEW YEAR … the Year of the Ox. To celebrate the day, how about a FREE Chinese Film Series, and an interview via Zoom with the President of APUC, Colin Hara. Mr. Hara has been part of the Governing Board of the cinema series since 2018, and is in his third year as president.

CHICAGO – In collaboration with Chicago’s Asian Pop-Up Cinema (APUC), the Taiwanese American Chamber of Commerce is presenting – supported by The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) – “@Home with Taiwan Cinema: Love & Hope.” The five film series … streaming online for FREE … will begin on September 11th, 2020, and run through December.

CHICAGO – The Asian Pop-Up Cinema (APUC) of Chicago, and their international Selection Committee, has announced the winners of the APUC “Funniest Stay-At-Home Short Film Competition. The competition took place over the last three months of the global quarantine, and attracted entries from the U.S. and the world.

CHICAGO – The Asian Pop-Up Cinema (APUC) of Chicago, coming off their popular “Audience Choice Winners Rewind” in May, will present a specially curated “Mini Focus,” June 5th to 12th, 2020, featuring “Taiwan Cinema Online.” All it takes to access the films – a short films program and five features – for FREE is to register at the APUC website on the day the film is schedule to stream.
