Blu-ray Review: ‘Twilight’ Wannabe ‘The Host’ Hits New YA Low

CHICAGO – Perhaps it’s something that every generation thinks but I really feel like the teens of this generation who get sucked into absolute nonsense like the truly horrendous “The Host,” just released on Blu-ray and DVD, are being intellectually damaged. They deserve better than this nonsense, arguably the worst movie of the year. And I’ve seen “Movie 43.”

CHICAGO – Stephenie Meyer is one of the most famous authors in America, because of the phenomenon of her “Twilight” series of books, and their subsequent film versions. She embarks on a new chapter with “The Host,” which was published in 2008, and has just been adapted to the screen. Meyer made a promotional appearance in Chicago recently with co-stars from “The Host,” Max Irons and Jake Abel.

CHICAGO – Summit just released a new production still from “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1” and we just had to share. The highly anticipated sequel, which opens on Nov. 18, 2011, stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning, Michael Sheen, Ashley Greene, Anna Kendrick, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed and Kellan Lutz. The film is directed by Bill Condon from a script by Melissa Rosenberg.

CHICAGO – Summit Entertainment has announced the locations of filming for the continuing blockbuster series, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.” The gang will be in both Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Vancouver, Canada, over the next year starting this fall. This chapter will be release as two films, the first on November 18, 2011.
