CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Scott Thompson on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on October 21st, 2021, reviewing the new Wes Anderson film, “The French Dispatch” in theaters beginning October 22nd.
This latest Wes Anderson film is a re-creation of the NEW YORKER magazine crew, wrapped in a fictional mid-20th Century heartland publication “The French Dispatch,” and the story is a series of episodes highlighting their staff of writers. Bill Murray portrays editor Arthur Howitzer Jr., overseeing the magazine in a eccentric French setting, laughingly called Ennui, France. It’s all star cast fictionally portraying the staff writers include Owen Wilson, Elisabeth Moss, Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton and Frances McDormand, as well as many more surprise cast appearances.
