Here is the plot description for “It’s Kind of a Funny Story”:

“It’s Kind of a Funny Story” looks to be the next hit from Focus Features. In this New York City-set comedy/drama, 16-year-old Craig (Keir Gilchrist of “United States of Tara”) is stressed out from the demands of being a teenager. He checks himself into a mental health clinic. There he learns that the youth ward is closed and finds himself stuck in the adult ward.

One of the patients, Bobby (Zach Galifianakis), soon becomes both Craig’s mentor and protege. Craig is also drawn to a 16-year-old girl named Noelle (Emma Roberts of “Valentine’s Day”). With a minimum five days’ stay imposed on him, Craig is sustained by friendships on both the inside and the outside as he learns more about life, love and the pressures of growing up.

Therapy?

Does the therapist sees a therapist if they have a problem? Who can afford to go especially during these times. I think everyone should have someone they can talk to but it doesn’t have to be a therapist.

Yup

I think most of us are all jacked up.

Personally

…. I think seeing a therapist is healthy for everyone. It gives you a different perspective on things and not everyone has it together ALL THE TIME. Seeing a therapist doesn’t mean that you have a severe issue per say … it just means that sometimes you need someone else to talk to … even if it’s a one time thing.

I think that almost everyone inadvertently will see a therapist. Either a licensed one or a friend.
