Here is the plot description for “Sanctum”:

The 3-D action/thriller “Sanctum” from executive producer James Cameron follows a team of underwater cave divers on a treacherous expedition to the largest, most beautiful and least accessible cave system on Earth. When a tropical storm forces them deep into the caverns, they must fight raging water, deadly terrain and creeping panic as they search for an unknown escape route to the sea.

Master diver Frank McGuire (Richard Roxburgh) has explored the South Pacific’s Esa-ala Caves for months. But when his exit is cut off in a flash flood, Frank’s team – including 17-year-old son, Josh (Rhys Wakefield), and financier Carl Hurley (Ioan Gruffudd) – are forced to radically alter their plans. With dwindling supplies, the crew must navigate an underwater labyrinth to make it out. Soon, they are confronted with the unavoidable question: Can they survive or will they be trapped forever?

Shot on location off the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, “Sanctum” employs 3-D photography techniques Cameron developed to lens “Avatar”. Designed to operate in extreme environments, the technology used to shoot the action/thriller will bring audiences on a breathless journey across plunging cliffs and into the furthest reaches of our subterranean world.

Most anything

Not sure I’d eat seafood unless it was that or certain death.

survival

there are limits but I prefer not to describe them in detail just for a movie promotion—-sorry!

There are lines I won't cross, even if it means death.

It is a good question but, my answer notwithstanding, no one really knows this answer unless or until they have been in this situation. What might seem an uncommitable act, could change and what might seem a commitable act also when you are faced with the situation.
I don’t mind going through pain to survive - that part of how I know I’m alive! - but I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through pain just so I could live.
I’ll at least die true to myself. Xx

You mean like cut someone loose from a line to save myself? —might as well—why have both of us die, if one can live.

In a life-or-death situation, is there any limit to survival?

In a life or death situation I would do whatever it takes to survive. Most days I am thinking I would not do that, but if I had no other choice I would do whatever it take for me to survive.

It would be hard to imagine

It would be hard to imagine that someone has a limit to their survival. For me there is no limit at all. If its a life or death situation, I can either sit there and die or fight to survive. I would fight until I actually do die and if I get out alive than thats a plus. Either way its a win win knowing I at least tried. But ofcourse I plan to walk away without a scratch. :)

life-or-death situation, is there any limit to what you’d do?

Yes I am limited by my conscious. Doing what it takes is limited to what I think I can live with. I could not live with something like pushing someone off a cliff cause there is only enough food for three. Or, tricking someone so that they never have a chance to survive. What good is life if my soul is condemned forever? Life has value and death has consequences.
