Here is the plot description for “Sanctum”:

The 3-D action/thriller “Sanctum” from executive producer James Cameron follows a team of underwater cave divers on a treacherous expedition to the largest, most beautiful and least accessible cave system on Earth. When a tropical storm forces them deep into the caverns, they must fight raging water, deadly terrain and creeping panic as they search for an unknown escape route to the sea.

Master diver Frank McGuire (Richard Roxburgh) has explored the South Pacific’s Esa-ala Caves for months. But when his exit is cut off in a flash flood, Frank’s team – including 17-year-old son, Josh (Rhys Wakefield), and financier Carl Hurley (Ioan Gruffudd) – are forced to radically alter their plans. With dwindling supplies, the crew must navigate an underwater labyrinth to make it out. Soon, they are confronted with the unavoidable question: Can they survive or will they be trapped forever?

Shot on location off the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, “Sanctum” employs 3-D photography techniques Cameron developed to lens “Avatar”. Designed to operate in extreme environments, the technology used to shoot the action/thriller will bring audiences on a breathless journey across plunging cliffs and into the furthest reaches of our subterranean world.

in life or death situation........

THE ANSWER IS NO, BUT THE MAIN THING TO REMEMBER IS NOT TO PANIC, AND TO USE MY HEAD. WHEN YOU THINK CLEARLY THERE IS A BETTER CHANCE OF SURVIVAL THAN IF YOU LOSE YOUR HEAD AND PANIC. YOU MUST THINK ABOUT AND WEIGH YOUR OPTIONS, AND FIGURE OUT A REALISTIC SOLUTION YOUR PREDICAMENT.

NOEVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON; AND IF IM ABOUT TO DIETHEN I’D RATHER JUST DIE AND NOT GET TORTURED IN THE PROCESS.

Live or die

I dont think there is any limitation to what I would do. Its hard to say though, when i think about it i think i cant imagine ever doing that. But when youre in the moment you do what you have to do. So yes i think i would do anything to survive.

Survival

No limits. Survival is paramount!

Survival

There is no limit to what I would do to survive. No legal, moral, or physical constraint exists. Those questions would be sorted out later. The idea is to keep playing the game. There is no life re-set button.

Life or Death situation

There is a limit to what I would do in a life or death situation. Of course it depends on how brutal the attack is, or the situation but if it was a choice between my life or my childs, I would give my life in a heart beat. So to answer this question you would need to know exactly the situation. And even knowing the situation, you mind reacts differently when you are in an unplanned attack versus one that you had time to think about. Impulse reactions are normally survival tactics.

Survival priorities

First: I don’t really know because (happily) I’ve never faced this. But I’d *like* to be able to say that I’d sacrifice my own survival (if necessary) to save any child’s life. I’m 52. when you get tot his age you (hopefully) learn a few things about what’s more and what’s less important.

Life or death situation

There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do to survive. I think it would be far worse to die without trying.
