Film News: First Three ‘Twilight’ Films Returning to Theaters Before ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 1’

CHICAGO – Fans of the Twilight Saga have an opportunity to see all of their favorite films on the big screen once again. NCM Fathom and Summit Entertainment have issued re-releases of the first three Twilight Saga films that will take place on the three Tuesdays that lead up to the release of the newest film “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1”.

The fan appreciation series will allow for fans to see four different Twilight movies in theaters in the matter of 18 days. The first film in the series, “Twilight,” will play in theaters nationwide on Tuesday, November 1. This will be followed a week later by “New Moon,” which will play Tuesday, November 8. On Tuesday, November 15, just three days before the next installment premieres, fans can see “Eclipse” again on the big screen.

All of this comes in anticipation of the release of “Breaking Dawn—Part 1,” which will hit theaters on Friday, November 18.

If the opportunity to see the films on the big screen again wasn’t enough, the re-releases will also feature never-before-seen footage, cast interviews, video from fan fests over the years, and more. The special entertainment event also comes in the wake of the success of the re-release of “The Lion King,” as well as the news that Disney will be re-releasing four more films.

The Twilight Saga follows Bella (Kristen Stewart) and her intimate, yet forbidden relationship with a vampire named Edward (Robert Pattinson) and her romantic interest in a werewolf named Jacob (Taylor Lautner). The second half of the final book adaptation, “Breaking Dawn—Part 2” will hit theaters November 16, 2012.
