Open Casting Call in Canada Confirmed For ‘Twilight’ Sequel ‘New Moon’
CHICAGO – If you’ve ever dreamed of being in a “Twilight” movie, find a way to get to Canada next weekend for an open casting call from Aikins/Cossey Casting for the highly anticipated “New Moon”. The Chris Weitz-directed sequel will star Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene and perhaps Lucy Hale and Dakota Fanning (both of whom were the subject of recent casting rumors).
Become a casting rumor yourself in Vancouver, Victoria and Kelowna, which are all in British Columbia, Canada. The Vancouver Sun recently broke the news that there will be a “three-city call” and the production is seeking actors aged 15 to 25 years old. They report that candidates will receive scripts and have to return to read on the same day.
This casting call is specifically for First Nations/aboriginal/Native American actors, according to a Craig’s List ad announcing the casting call. Want to know where to go to possibly be a part of “New Moon”?
Victoria: Feb. 7, 2009, Paul’s Motor Inn, 1900 Douglas St., 9 a.m. to noon
Vancouver: Feb. 8, 2009, Second Avenue Studios, 225 W. 2nd Ave., 9 a.m. to noon
Kelowna: Feb. 8, 2009, Delta Grand Okanagan, 1310 Water St., 9 a.m. to noon
