Open Casting Call in Canada Confirmed For ‘Twilight’ Sequel ‘New Moon’
CHICAGO – If you’ve ever dreamed of being in a “Twilight” movie, find a way to get to Canada next weekend for an open casting call from Aikins/Cossey Casting for the highly anticipated “New Moon”. The Chris Weitz-directed sequel will star Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene and perhaps Lucy Hale and Dakota Fanning (both of whom were the subject of recent casting rumors).
Become a casting rumor yourself in Vancouver, Victoria and Kelowna, which are all in British Columbia, Canada. The Vancouver Sun recently broke the news that there will be a “three-city call” and the production is seeking actors aged 15 to 25 years old. They report that candidates will receive scripts and have to return to read on the same day.
This casting call is specifically for First Nations/aboriginal/Native American actors, according to a Craig’s List ad announcing the casting call. Want to know where to go to possibly be a part of “New Moon”?
Victoria: Feb. 7, 2009, Paul’s Motor Inn, 1900 Douglas St., 9 a.m. to noon
Vancouver: Feb. 8, 2009, Second Avenue Studios, 225 W. 2nd Ave., 9 a.m. to noon
Kelowna: Feb. 8, 2009, Delta Grand Okanagan, 1310 Water St., 9 a.m. to noon

CRAP
omg, im not old enough :(
crap. im like 13, how does that make a difference?
ahh, jeez.
Not First Nations.
I am not First Nations, but I do love acting, and am trying to become an actress. So I saw this and got all my hopes up! I thought this would be the best experience for myself, not just because I want to be an actress, but because I love the Twilight series! I am so upset that they won’t accept anyone else who is not First Nations! They still should let people audition who are not, and you never know, maybe they are really good, and could just be someone who is not even a major role. Or someone who doesn’t even talk, but is just in the background.
*New Moon*
That is so not fair, I am first nations but I’m maté and im french first nations. I’m pale as pale can be. People shouldn’t be accepted for what they look like, of course it’s for La Push which is the reservation but still. They should still accept people that are good at acting.
auditions
hi i was wondering for the twilight sequil audidtions, i live in victoria australia id they could do a live web-cam audition??? it would be great if they could. can u please get back to me soon thank you.
see i think its great you
see i think its great you guys are doing open casting. i wish i would of known before it was only native americans, if you even had open calling for other actors. lol i think that director should do more open casting to find hidden talent in people, not just the same actors we see all the time in movies. althou i can see why would dont do open casting gosh i feel for you guys! lol anyways loved the first movie could of been more like the book but hopefully the other are more like the books
that's just harsh
Native americans only, it ain’t fair at all,…….
dat means da only native americans can audtiion…., if someone look like native american but dey are not orginnaly native, shld get chances….
The Auditions!!
i went to the auditions they held in calgary this past weekend, and wow, it was nothing compared to wat happend in Van!!!! there were no lines, almost an empty room, and soooo quiet! i actually got to read for the casting director, but i have no hopes, i don’t look native enough even if i am half, but the lady liked me so i got to read for future reference.
good luck to all the ppl the auditioned
hahaha so funny, when i came back to read for her she was like “so this is for new moon” and i was like yep!
the part that everyone was reading from was :
boy: hey, you’re not going to faint or puke of anything?
girl: i don’t think so.
boy: you don’t look so good. maybe you should sit down.
girl: okay
aren’t you worried about them at all?
boy: worried? why?
girl: They could hurt each other!
sooooo great! i bet all the twilighters know what part that is!!!
hope this was of interest!

New Moon
I love the Twilight saga! As I am sure anyone with a brain does or at least a teenage girl does ^_^ It would be the greatest dream come true if I was able to be in New Moon but of course I had to move to Alabama which gave me even less of a chance than I had before haha. Well I love the books and I am positive that the movies will continue to be great aswell but if there was ever a chance that you would need another person I would die to do it!!
