Michael Sheen Joins Cast of ‘The Twilight Saga’s New Moon’
CHICAGO – Michael Sheen, one of the stars of last year’s Best Picture-nominated “Frost/Nixon,” has joined the cast of the “Twilight” sequel, “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon,” appearing with the already-cast Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, and Dakota Fanning in the film to be directed by Chris Weitz.
Sheen also appeared in the award-winning “The Queen” as Prime Minister Tony Blair and played a vampire before in 2003’s “Underworld,” co-starring Kate Beckinsale, and in this year’s “Underworld: The Rise of the Lycans”. Sheen will play Aro, the leader of the Volturi vampire coven from the book based on Stephenie Meyer’s “New Moon”. The casting news was broken by E! News today.

The perfect person to fit
The perfect person to fit Aro’s character is Eric Ripert, the renown chef, too bad he is not an actor. Someone with his look would make a perfect Aro.
i don’t think he should
i don’t think he should play Aro he’s just not right. I like the way the people in the film arn’t really realy welknown it makes it better for the story cos its a new charecter not “oh thats the guy from …” im just annoyed at the choice
Well, he fits right on in
Well, he fits right on in with the rest of the cast that can’t act. the only actress that can act is Dakota Fanning. She will steal the show right under, Kristin’s nose.
just a small correction, he
just a small correction, he played a lycan in the Underworld series, not a vampire. He was lucian, the leader of the lycans
