Film News: Extended Super Bowl XLVI Ads Released For ‘The Avengers,’ ‘John Carter’

CHICAGO – Are you one of the millions of people that watched the Super Bowl yesterday, including the Super Bowl ads? Well, even if you were, there are new extended versions of the trailers you saw yesterday now available for your viewing pleasure. I mean, at $3 million per 30 second ad, it would have been costly for every film to have a one-minute-plus trailer.

Extended trailers for the upcoming films “John Carter” and “The Avengers” were released by Disney and Marvel, and give further looks into the new films. The “John Carter” ad even has a contest at the conclusion for a chance to win tickets to next year’s Super Bowl.

“John Carter” is set for a March 9 release and “The Avengers” will be released two months later on May 4. Both films are expected to be blockbusters, but until their release we can only speculate as to what kind of money each film will make.
